If you are starting out and want to take a beginner rock climbing course then Rockbusters have tuition all over Europe. Take up climbing in Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia or Spain. Learn from the best and have great fun doing so.
Tackle the basics head on, master technique and learn to climb safely. Get your head around all the gear and equipment you’ll need to stay safe and crank your way up the face. At Rockbusters it’s not just about technique, but immersing yourself in the complete climbing experience, with guides who live and breath to climb. So not only will you have an awesome time learning but you’ll enjoy a fun party atmosphere in the camp.
Our top coaches will be with you every step of the way helping you to master the following:
* What equipment you need and how to choose it so you have the best climbing experience while staying safe
* Technical climbing skills like how to belay, set up top-rope and lead climb (depending on your level)
* Climbing calls and communication so that you can get your message across to climbing buddies
* Movement skills to help you climb more efficiently
* Basic understanding of outdoor risks so you can make it home safely every day
* Cleaning the anchors so you can retrieve all your gear
* Intro to leading sport climbs
At the end of the beginner rock climbing course, our aim is to have transformed you into a competent independent climber tackling routes you would not have believed yourself capable of. You’ll be moving like a mountain goat, be more honed, and have a firm grasp of belay for top rope and learn to lead climb in Europe. Plus you’ll know all the relevant communication and climbing terminology.
This course is a great way into climbing culture. It’s intense for sure, but this means you’ll develop your skills quickly and progress way faster than you thought possible. Join the Rockbusters Novice Camp and you’ll quickly reach new heights and be ready to take on epic routes you could only dream of.
Example of a typical day on the Rockbusters beginner rock climbing course:
8 – 10 am
Wake up, have a relaxing breakfast, coffee in local bakery. We will meet up at 10am to discuss the plan for the day so make sure you are ready to go!
All aboard! We pack into the van and head off to the crag to take climbing tuition or to learn to lead climb in Europe.
11 am - 2 pm
Jump on some warm up climbs and start getting your body moving. Look up for some challenges for the day and figure out the beta. Of course there is always time for some cool coaching.
Lunchtime! Pull out your packed lunch and relax on Spanish sun with great Siurana/Margalef views. This is also a good time to snap some photos.
2.30 - 7pm
Back to climbing. Using what you learned in the morning, and our individualized coaching, start nailing the projects down.
7 - 8pm
Time to relax with a well-earned beer from one of the local climbing bars. We will re-group, discuss the highlights from the day and what the focus will be tomorrow.
Pour yourself some Spanish wine/beer and get something to eat. Who knows where the night will lead… Mañana más y mejor.
There are no rules but most of us will be in bed this time!
